KINGSFORD & BOHANON CROWNED SX3 AND 85cc CHAMPIONS IN A WILD, TITLE CLINCHING GRAND FINAL SHOWDOWN!
The 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship presented by Monster Energy reached its epic conclusion today, as the Protraxx SX3 Championship and KTM SX85 Futures Finals delivered a dramatic final day at the bp Adelaide Grand Final, closing out one of the most intense seasons in series history.
SX3: KAYD KINGSFORD CONQUERS CHAOS TO SEAL THE TITLE
The Protraxx SX3 Championship produced a wild, high-pressure showdown across two mains, with the title swinging repeatedly in front of thousands of roaring motorsport fans.
Ryder Malinoski entered the day with a four-point advantage, but Main Event 1 immediately set the tone for the afternoon. Despite starting inside the top three, Malinoski faded behind his championship rivals as Kayd Kingsford unleashed a clutch, must-win ride, taking the race victory and dragging the championship into a deadlock with Jack Deveson heading into the final main of the year.
Main Event 2 was where champions are made, and Kingsford delivered again. Launching to a perfect holeshot, Kingsford controlled the race from wire to wire, executing a flawless ride under maximum pressure to secure his first SX3 Championship, a statement victory to close out a breakout season.
Final SX3 Championship Results:
1. Kayd Kingsford – 2025 SX3 Champion
2. Jack Deveson – Second overall
3. Ryder Malinoski – Third overall
KTM SX85 FUTURES: BLAKE BOHANON FIGHTS THROUGH ADVERSITY TO CLAIM THE CROWN
The KTM SX85 Futures finals delivered pure heart, grit, and high drama as the next generation of supercross talent put on a show worthy of Championship Sunday.
Series leader Blake Bohanon entered the first main with a commanding 30-point advantage, seemingly one hand already on the trophy. But supercross had other ideas.
A heavy crash through one of the rhythm lanes left Bohanon scrambling to remount and salvage crucial points, surrendering 11 points to hard-charging challenger Ollie Birkett, who kept the title hopes alive.
Main Event 2 added another layer of adversity. Riding with a strapped-up thumb from the earlier crash, Bohanon was taken down again in Turn 2. The young Queenslander dug deep, remounting once more and charging forward with a champion’s determination.
His recovery ride secured enough points to finally clinch the 2025 KTM SX85 Futures Championship, ahead of Birkett in second and Luis Cannon in third. A gutsy, hard-earned title for one of Australia’s rising stars.
Final KTM Futures 85cc Championship Results:
