SAVATGY IS BACK: 2024 CHAMPION RETURNS TO FACTORY HONDA FOR AUSX 2026
Former AUSX SX1 Champion returns to Australia as an already stacked international field prepares for the Townsville Season Opener
With eight days until the gate drops on the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship presented by Monster Energy, Factory Honda Racing has confirmed the 2024 AUSX SX1 Champion will return to Australia to go after a second title.
Savatgy won the SX1 crown in 2024 after a season-long fight. Two years later, the American is back with one goal: to win it again.
He has years of AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross experience and has already won on Australian soil. His return adds more firepower to an SX1 field already packed with international and Australian talent, and it deepens a Factory Honda Racing line-up that includes defending champion Dean Wilson, 2022 AMA 250SX West Champion Christian Craig and Queensland’s own Nathan Crawford.

ROUND 1: TOWNSVILLE, SATURDAY 3 OCTOBER
The season starts at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville, on Saturday 3 October. It’s the first of five rounds across Australia and New Zealand.
Fans can expect world-class Supercross, Freestyle Motocross, Fan Fest, rider signings and live entertainment. Race week also features the AUSX Street Party, a free public fan event with the Holeshot Challenge, rider appearances and entertainment ahead of race day.
