Australia’s premier Supercross event arrives in Geelong for the first time, with support from Visit Victoria and Geelong Major Events

The 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Champion, Ken Roczen has been confirmed to headline the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Open Geelong, presented by Monster Energy, at GMHBA Stadium, this November 7.

Roczen’s championship victory, secured in Salt Lake City, Utah in May, at the conclusion of the 17-round AMA championship completed one of the most celebrated comeback stories in modern motorsport. After suffering a devastating arm injury in 2017 that many believed would end his career, he endured years of surgeries, setbacks and rehabilitation before returning to the top of the sport.

His appearance at AUSX Open Geelong gives Australian fans the rare opportunity to see the current AMA Supercross Champion compete on Australian soil at the peak of his career.

“Winning the AMA Supercross Championship this year was one of the proudest moments of my career. It’s been a long journey to get back to the top and something I never take for granted.

Australia has always had passionate Supercross fans and I’m excited to bring that momentum to the AUSX Open. It’s going to be massive! I can’t wait to see all the aussie fans.” — Ken Roczen – 2026 AMA Supercross 450SX Champion

The Boost Mobile AUSX Open Supercross returns to Victoria, recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious international supercross events; however for 2026, will make its debut inside one of Australia’s most iconic venues in GMHBA Stadium, the home of the Geelong Cats AFL team.

The move to Geelong and GMHBA Stadium is set to unlock the full scale of the AUSX Open. The significant increase in floor space promising the largest and most dynamic track in the event’s 11-year history, and an unrivalled fan experience thanks to an open pit paddock and expanded Monster Energy Fan Fest.

AUSX CEO Adam Bailey said securing Roczen and bringing the AUSX Open to Geelong represented a massive milestone for both the event and Supercross.

“Ken Roczen is an absolute icon of Supercross globally and his championship win this year, will be remembered as one of the most emotional in our sport’s history. He isn’t just a world-class rider — he’s one of the biggest names our sport has produced. To have him confirmed for this year’s Boost Mobile AUSX Open, is such an honour and incredible opportunity for the aussie fans.” Bailey said.
